Our Village Fete

We are planning a great afternoon of entertainments on the Beehive Field on the last Saturday in June.

This will be a time for everyone in the village to come and enjoy having a bit of fun together. Whatever your age, there will be something for you - from a bouncy castle for the kids, to tea and cakes for those with a little less energy!

Many funfairs these days cost an absolute bomb, especially for a family, but on the 30th June, you should find everything affordable. Most of the sideshows are only twenty pence a turn, so everybody can have a go.

Any money raised will go to the charity of the choice of the group running each stall.

Pedestrians can get to the Beehive Field by going down Crown Lane (next to the fish and chip shop). Anyone coming by car will be able to park on the Church Pightle (next to Lehmann House) accessed by Mill Lane.

Do come. Many recall Wickham Carnivals and Fairs of the past - we hope it will be as much un in June 2007.

In closing, here is a thought about time:

Yesterday was history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
Today is a gift of God,

That is why it's called the PRESENT.
